Jouni OH3CUF<p>I have been testing CATS.radio protocol today, setting up SDR-iGate and flashing RS41ng. Promising results!</p><p>Good reason to go pick some RS41 radiosondes, free CATS.radio transmitter inside :)</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/catsradio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>catsradio</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/cats" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>cats</span></a>.radio <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/rs41" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>rs41</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/rs41ng" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>rs41ng</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/radiosonde" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>radiosonde</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/amateurradio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>amateurradio</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.radio/tags/radioamateur" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>radioamateur</span></a></p>
Mikael Nousiainen<p>Figured it's finally time to activate this account (and not post to that other service only), so the best way to start is with some <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/amateurradio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>amateurradio</span></a> hacking:</p><p>This <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Graw" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Graw</span></a> DFM-17 <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/radiosonde" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>radiosonde</span></a> has learned some new tricks and it chirps CW (morse) and Horus 4FSK modulations on the 70cm ham radio band. This is a work-in-progress port of my <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/RS41ng" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RS41ng</span></a> radiosonde firmware, as the DFM hardware is very similar to <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/Vaisala" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Vaisala</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/RS41" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RS41</span></a>.</p><p>Next up is <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/APRS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>APRS</span></a> + testing, so soon you'll be able to repurpose your <a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/DFM17" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>DFM17</span></a> sondes!</p>
