I think I succeeded, the lad is tired ;) Fast asleep, probably dreaming about the two bunnies we saw running left and right. That confused him, he couldn't figure out which way to go first ;)
This is Izzy's preferred way of telling me it's time to get off the computer and give her a tummy rub! #DogsofMastodon #RescueDogs #Mondog
Liam and Conall - making life bearable through cuteness
Speaking of Shira and the resemblance Rufus shows, here they are, side by side. She was ~70 lbs, He's 50.
A photo of my dogs in a corner of our living room. The large sandy-colored dog is laying on her side in a sunbeam on the floor; the little wire-haired tri-color dog is curled up on a pillow on a black office chair. Also in the photo are my Yamaha Tyros5 keyboard, 3 ukuleles, and a blue stool in front of a window.
Our new foster dog Lulu was supposed to be spayed today but the preop bloodwork had some bad news. Waiting for more test results but the current suspicion is Evans Syndrome. This poor girl has been through so much already.
Here is one of our two new foster dogs. Lulu was severely neglected and needed an emergency grooming to remove the worst matting I've seen yet. She was unbelievably sweet and cooperative through the 2 hour procedure. It's not a pretty haircut but she's comfortable now.
Im not saying Lucky is Krypto, but I've never seen him and Krypto in the same place at the same time...
Happy Fifth Gotcha Day to Izzy!
On July 11, 2020, we adopted a very scared spaniel who had spent three months in a high kill shelter in South Carolina raising her four puppies, and then being spayed and treated for heartworms. When she was transported from South Carolina to Washington, she was so scared that she didn't want to leave the crate she had ridden in. Then she didn't want to get out of our car when we got to our house. I had to carry her up the front steps to our house.
Over the years, she has become much more comfortable and confident. She'll never be a social butterfly, but she has lots of friends, canine and human, and is a very loving, sweet, and affectionate member of the family.
@GetCarter our late and beloved dog Tilley loved that beach. Here she is the last time she visited, she couldn't run but loved just sitting there looking
Massive day today, Penny the Podenco asked to come up on my lap and she made herself comfy! I think this is her second time she slept on me. Normal she sits on me and if I touch/stroke her she would jump off a few sec later. Today ehe stayed a full 15min, a new personal record. Normally it's under five min.
