Working on mini quilts at FOLIO day. I need to do some more work on the white parts but the center is done. #quilting #quilts

A mini quilt with turquoise, orange, yellow, brown, black, and gray fabric in a central motif with white borders. The central part involves triangles in a kind of nesting with some slightly uneven rectangles on the sides.

I pulled it off! Surprised my husband with this quilt for his birthday. Took me a year of being sneaky. He’s nosy. The flying goose block is perfect as he loves to watch the Canada geese migrate. Our dog loves it and has decided it’s his. Stretches out on it on our bed every chance he gets. #quilting #quilts #fiberarts

At my dentist's office: his wife is a #quilter , so he always rotates a wide variety of her #quilts to hang on his walls. They are always beautiful. These were two of them today.

A quilt hanging on a wall, in a variety of shades from green-blues to blues to black. The center is a square turned to an angle, making a diamond shape. In that diamond is a large green-blue flower. On each outside edge of the diamond is a quarter-reflection of the inside flower design in the same colors. (Design and needlework by Laurie Kay Janda.)

A large quilt hanging on a wall, in shades of brown, yellow, and just a tiny bit of pink and baby blue. Inside the golden-brown border is a repeating pattern of "log cabin" star designs. Often times, the colors are muted and blend so perfectly with the ones next to them that it is hard to distinguish the star patterns in every quilt block. This gives a feeling of depth to the stars, as if they are floating in a celestial sky of fabrics. (Design and needlework by Laurie Kay Janda.)

A small wall quilt featuring a flower pieced from blue and purple fabric on a cream background. The flower center is a pink square. The dark blue fabric breaks the flower pattern into a pinwheel (I wish I'd stuck to mid-values). There is a wide border in a salmon pink dutch heritage floral print, the same as I used on the reverse.
