Will 🏳️🌈
I've been expecting to initiate spinal surgery for a long time, since my whole spine has been extremely painful since January 2024, much longer at a lower pain level.

The last straw was last Thursday. I was told I'd have to go for a *sixth* opinion in order to go forward, and that the provider I met with would not be willing to do the surgery if the next opinion was in concert.

I decided that we arrived at the point where it isn't healthy for me to keep getting my hopes up on getting the reduced pain levels. Therefore, I decided that I would stop pursuing any further injections, imaging, or surgery for my spine.

This also means that my quality of life, as diminished as it has become, is as good as it's going to be, and will likely continue to decline. Wasn't an easy decision, knowing that "out there" was hope for a better outcome/future, if I just got the chance.

Thought this might be useful or interesting to my Fediverse friends.

#Spine #SpineSurgery #SecondOpinions #QualityOfLife
