Matthias<p><strong>Wenn die künstlichen Intelligenz sich am Webdesign versucht</strong></p><p>Die künstliche Intelligenz macht vor gar nichts halt. Nicht einmal vor dem Webdesign. Auf Word­press.com könne man sich per KI eine Website gestalten lassen, <a href="https://www.theverge.com/news/645993/wordpress-com-is-offering-a-new-ai-site-builder" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">war neulich bei «The Verge» zu lesen</a>. Macht diese neue Erfindung namens <a href="https://wordpress.com/ai-website-builder/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">AI Website Builder</a> meine ganze HTML-, Frontpage- und Golive-Kompetenz überflüssig? Das musste ich natürlich sofort herausfinden.</p><p>Die Testanordnung liegt auf der Hand: Was kommt heraus, wenn ich dieser KI mein Blog hier exakt beschreibe? Für eine Einschätzung brauche ich nur die Arbeit der KI mit dem Ist-Zustand auf Clickomania.ch zu vergleichen. Dann ist sofort klar, ob ich als Webmaster meiner eigenen Site abdanken muss – oder ob die Besprechung hier mit Häme über die gestalterische Inkompetenz der KI endet.</p><p><strong>Wenn es funktioniert, wäre es toll!</strong></p><p>Aber ich möchte nicht so verstanden werden, dass ich die KI scheitern sehen möchte. Nein: Gelegentlich macht es mir zwar Spass, an meiner Word­press-Installation herumzubasteln. Doch ich weiss auch um die Grenzen meiner Möglichkeiten. Ich verwende ein Theme ab Stange; und die <a href="https://blog.clickomania.ch/2022/11/30/wordpress-theme-auswaehlen/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Suche war vor drei Jahren mehr als frustrierend</a>. Wenn mir die KI aufgrund meiner Vorgaben eine massgeschneiderte Lösung liefern würde, wäre das sehr toll.</p><p>Daher sehe ich Chancen für mehr Abwechslung und Originalität im Web. Der Look der Websites ist über die Jahre immer einheitlicher geworden. Es haben sich Konventionen etabliert, die die Benutzung vereinfachen und bei der Orientierung helfen. Doch diese Uniformität finde <a href="https://borism.medium.com/on-the-visual-weariness-of-the-web-8af1c969ce73" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">nicht</a> <a href="https://uxdesign.cc/design-art-modern-websites-look-the-same-but-its-ok-52e233b40133" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">nur ich</a> langweilig.</p><p><strong>Mehr Originalität dank KI-Experimenten?</strong></p><p>Nun ist die KI selbst bekanntlich nicht kreativ. Im Gegenteil orientiert sie sich an den Signalen, die in ihrem Trainingsmaterial am stärksten sind. Damit dominiert unweigerlich der Massengeschmack. Aber wenn die KI in der Lage ist, nach unseren Vorgaben Entwürfe anzufertigen und zu modifizieren, würde das kreativen menschlichen Experimenten Tür und Tor öffnen. Es wäre grossartig, wenn ich mein Blog mehr individualisieren und ihm visuell ein paar Ecken und Kanten verpassen könnte.</p><a href="https://blog.clickomania.ch/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/250502-Wordpress-AI-Website-Builder-02.webp" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"></a>Der Dialog zwischen «Kunde» und «Webdesigner».<p>Aber konkret: Fürs Experiment liefere ich dem AI Website Builder eine ausführliche Beschreibung, die mein inhaltliches «Mission Statement» umfasst und die wesentlichen Merkmale meines aktuellen Themes beschreibt¹.</p><p>Die KI nimmt meinen Text entgegen und fragt dann nach dem Titel des Blogs. Ich gebe den als «Clickomania» an, mit dem Untertitel «Beobachtungen aus einer technologisierten Welt». Daraufhin meint die KI:</p><blockquote><p>Perfekt, danke! Damit habe ich fast alle Informationen. Bitte gib mir noch eine kurze, prägnante Beschreibung deines Blogs, etwa 1–2 Sätze lang, die das Ziel und den Inhalt knapp zusammenfasst.</p></blockquote><p>Eigentlich war diese Information bereits in meiner Ausgangsbeschreibung enthalten. Aber gut, ich leiere mir noch ein paar Floskeln aus den Rippen: «Die Orientierungshilfe für alle, die mit Internet, Apps und KI per Du sind, einen Hands-On-Zugang mögen, mit differenzierten Analysen, prägnantem Schreibstil und einem gelegentlichen Schuss Humor.»</p><p><strong>Langweiliger geht es kaum</strong></p><p>Daraufhin geht die KI ans Werk und erstellt eine Website, die kaum generischer sein könnte. Keine einzige meiner Vorgaben zur Gestaltung zur magazinartigen Startseite, den Kategorien, Leads wurde berücksichtigt. Mein Untertitel fehlt, und auch sonst unterscheidet sich dieses Werk nicht gross von einer standardmässigen Neuinstallation von WordPress. Ohne <a href="https://wordpress.com/setup/ai-site-builder/plans?siteId=244126540&amp;redirect=site-launch" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">kostenpflichtigen Tarif</a> (für zehn Franken pro Monat für das Pro-Abo oder dreissig Franken für Entwickler) lässt sich das Backend nicht aufrufen, sodass ich nicht im Detail überprüfen kann, welche Anpassungen vorgenommen wurden.</p><p>Es ist aber augenscheinlich, dass der <a href="https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Gutenberg-Block-Editor</a> zum Einsatz kommt; und mutmasslich eines der Standard-Themes (z.B. <a href="https://de-ch.wordpress.org/themes/twentytwentyfive/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Twenty-Twentyfive</a>).</p><a href="https://blog.clickomania.ch/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/250502-Wordpress-AI-Website-Builder-Resultate-scaled.webp" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"></a>Die beiden per KI erstellten Websites; links der erste und rechts der zweite Versuch. Bei letzterem habe ich eine andere Farbpalette gewählt.<p>Fazit: Das ist sehr ernüchternd. Diese KI macht fast gar nichts: Sie nimmt einige Einstellungen vor, legt die Standardseiten <em>Home</em>, <em>Newsletter</em>, <em>Kontakt</em> sowie <em>Über</em> an und platziert ein paar Platzhaltertexte und einige Bilder von maximaler Abgedroschenheit. Nützlichkeit gleich null.</p><p>Weil ich das kaum glauben kann, wiederhole ich das Experiment unter den gleichen Voraussetzungen. Resultat: Eine Website, die anders ausschaut, aber genauso wenig meinen Anforderungen entspricht.</p><p>Klar, wir stehen erst am Anfang der Entwicklung. Eine rasante Entwicklung mit markanten Verbesserungen ist nicht auszuschliessen. Doch bis jetzt ist AI Website Builder ein gescheiterter Versuch, aus dem KI-Hype Profit zu schlagen.</p> <p><strong>Fussnoten</strong></p><p><strong>1)</strong> Die Beschreibung, die ich übermittelt habe:</p><blockquote><p>Clickomania.ch ist ein Blog, das über das Internet, Software, Apps und soziale Medien berichtet, aber auch kulturelle Themen wie Podcasts, Hörbücher und Filme bespricht, manchmal eine historische Perspektive einnimmt, Service und Anleitungen bietet, Entwicklungen z.B. in den sozialen Medien kritisch kommentiert und natürlich auch unterhalten will.
