TomI put the air-layered Santa Rosa plum in the ground this evening. FarhadLast year after a heavy storm, a branch of a tree broke in the park next door. I asked the Gardner if I could take it & he agreed. Months later, all the leaves fell & I thought it was dead, but today I saw 3 new branches growing from the soil. TomThe Santa Rosa plum air layering has made roots! It's been 11 weeks since it was started. It should make a standard sized tree if it survives. I'm currently receiving nothing beyond very roughly 1,000 miles, the shortest reception radius I've ever seen for when the band has still been working at all.
