Almost ran negative splits but had to stop at junction for some cars. Back to half marathon training today with 60 minutes progression running split into 30 minutes easy zone 2 pace and 25 minutes zone 4 threshold pace with 5 minutes cool down. Went out with slight trepidation as unsure the ankle injury on Sunday was going to be ok and so glad it was. Half marathon training continues with 50 minutes progression run: 25 minutes easy pace, 20 minutes tempo and 5 minutes cool down. Half Marathon training continues with a 12k progression run building up intensities through zones 2 and 3 after a 10 minute warm up and finishing off with 5 minutes cool down. Sunday long run has come round again. Thought I’d mix it up today and do a progression run instead of my usual slow zone 2 efforts. Started off with the first 50 minutes, nice and easy then for the next 40 minutes ran more tempo pace before 5 minute cool down walk/jog.
