Oooh one of my Postcrossing cards arrived, I just need one more to arrive before October 1st and I'll be able to get (hopefully) a World Postcard Day card.

I hit a #postcrossing milestone! (Took a little less than 8 months, and I normally send a card within 24 hours of a new slot opening up 
)
En cette fin d'été, les cartes postales déboulent dans ma boîte aux lettres. Ma préférée, la flamme qui cuisine des œufs et du bacon, a été envoyée par un dénommé Cornelius de Coburg, en Bavière.

Some recent outgoing and incoming postcards! Most of these were for/from Postcrossing, but the one with the raven (illustration by Susan Seddon Boulet), which was actually a charity shop find, was for a friend. Where I live now my local charity shop sadly doesn't seem to have any postcards, but where I lived previously there was one with such a good collection! I can imagine that unused postcards get thrown away a lot, but especially when it's such a unique illustration it is kinda sad. This one just seemed like it was meant for the friend I send it to!
The incoming postcard was also a lovely surprise. It is always interesting to see what sort of postcard people will send you or what they will write, but every now and then someone adds a little surprise, like some stationary, stamps (which I collect) or tea, and it is one of those small things that can make my day just a little brighter.

Ik beloofde vandaag mijn postbode dat ik weer @postcrossing kaarten zou versturen, want hij vindt het zo leuk om ipv saaie zakelijke post vooral ook ansichtkaarten te bezorgen die ik via postcrossing weer terug ga krijgen.
Dus daad bij woord ... morgen vijf kaarten op de bus!

Ein paar Kilometer später hab ich mich gefragt, warum mir nicht eingefallen ist, ihm von #postcrossing zu erzählen. Aber das kann ich dann ja mit der Postkarte erledigen 
Auf dem Rückweg noch schnell #postcrossing Karten eingeworfen und prompt den richtigen Briefkasten gefunden ^^
