Well, the answer to that lies simply in well...threads is partly federated, which means some accounts there are partly federated and most of them are inaccessible unless each user gets at least 1k followers. Getting 1k followers for your average #Jane and #Joe is mostly impossible unless they adopt the philosophy of #f4f which is #pointless mostly.
That's not good enough for the #fediverse. Thus the bridge assists us!

One one round every single team got a perfect score (i.e. 0/100), adding £750 to the prize-pot.
On the tie-break it happens again, 3 perfect scores.
On the tie-break to the tie-break it finally ends, when one team fucks up by getting 1/100. Meanwhile the prize pot's over doubled.
