Hey hat jemand einen Tipp, wie ich die Spitze meines #pinecil von der Kruste befreie? Hab mit den vor 1, 2 Jahren gekauft und selten genutzt. Anfangs mal mit dem abgebildeten bleifrei Lot probiert aber das ging schon sehr frickelig. Gestern mal mit meinem Bleilot im Feld genutzt und das Lot wurde leider auch nur an den blanken Stellen oberhalb der Spitze aufgenommen. "Reinigung" am feuchten Schwamm bringt nur ne zusätzliche schwarze Schicht drauf. Mit meiner alten Lötstation, wo irgendeine Lötspitze ausm Conrad seit 15 Jahren drauf ist, hab ich keine solche Probleme. Damit löte ich auch mehrmals die Woche (mit Bleilot). Also keine Ahnung, was ich hier falsch gemacht habe 😅

I need a #soldering iron and really like the idea of the #Pine64 #Pinecil but after my experience with their other products I am worried about the quality. Have people here used it as a hobby product over a longer period of time and did it break or anything?

Went through the lid pouch of my backpack, to remove clutter and extra weight. Found I have quite the #EDC collection...

I guess it can be split into #Electronics, #Tools, #Sewing and #EverydayLife.

What I'm showing in the photos is the stuff I decided to keep in there (yes, there was more).

There are also other little pouches on this backpack that I keep other essentials in, but I'll just stay with the one for now.

Ich werde mir den @pine64eu #Pinecil holen - sieht für meinen Anwendungsfall super aus! :)

Meine alte #Lötstation ist leider irreparabel kaputt gegangen, nun suche ich deswegen eine neue.
Gibt es im Bereich unter 100€ etwas empfehlenswert brauchbares mit um die 60W ?

Meine alte Lötstation war eine Conrad LSL-450. Soweit war ich mit ihr zufrieden, auch wenn die Lötspitzen sch*** waren.

Spent some time designing a compact travel case for my #Pinecil soldering iron.

There are a few designs available for #3DPrinting, and while the base designs are fine I have some issues with all the ones I've seen.

Good thing I know how to make my own...

Turned out great and with a PD power bank I'm very portable.

Only thing I'm missing in there is my Engineer SS-02 solder sucker. Might have to give that a go too.

Oggi pomeriggio ho dovuto accroccare perché non faceva più contatto. Il connettore di ricambio l'ho trovato ma costa più di spedizione, e sinceramente non mi va di spendere così tanto che a quel prezzo prendo il saldatore nuovo.
Il mio saldatore è un #TS100 che ha lo stesso connettore del #Pinecil
Sapete se ha un nome o un modello esatto per trovarlo su AliExpress o simili?

Let's recharge the #Sandberg 420-75 #powerbank, via a USB "PD65W" PPS, fed from my RD6006 bench top power supply.

I'm using my #Pinecil preset - if it's good enough for the soldering iron …it's perfectly adequate for charging the powerbank! 😅

I'm "re-commissioning" my old Siswoo C55 Android phone, as an auxiliary stop watch.

*sigh* 😩

NEITHER, my old #Samsung Galaxy S7, NOR #Ubuntu #Gnome #noble 24.04 LTS (Clocks app) is ABLE to run more than ONE stop watch, simultaneously!

🤣 well, passing Dave's cuppa-test, is a #Benchmark for #SolderingIrons.

My PSU has nuffin' to do with that!

Benchmark: a "cuppa" is Bri'ish/Oz/Kiwi for "a cup of* [usually tea]" - in this benchmark scenario, it's a cup of (cuppa) cold-ish tap water, into which you'd dip the tip of your soldering iron.

Dave "EEVblog" Jones: If it can maintain temperature, it's worth its salt.

#Pinecil V2 passes, fed via DC 5525 barrel jack. (it fails, via USB-C PD, with 240W reputable cable + 100W powerbank)
