Last August I saw the most incredible Northern Lights I've ever seen (I've only seen them a few times since I live in the Southern Finland). The entire sky was covered with intense green lights and sudden flashes of red and purple. It was such a divine cosmic sight it was almost terrifying.

These pictures are from the last % of the show because I didn't want to miss the most intense part getting my camera. I even managed to capture one of the Perseids in the second picture.

HOLY MOLY!!! 🤩🥰. As I was waiting patiently for the ‘Perseid Meteor Shower’ to appear over Courtmacsherry areas in West Cork, Ireland; this OUTSTANDING #Aurora #NorthernLights emerged underneath the plough constellation around 2am!!! 😳😍📸🌠🌌💥✨💚❤️ #auroraborealis #solarstorm #CME #Perseid #PerseidMeteorShower #Courtmacsherry #WestCork #Cork #PureCork #Ireland #sun #astronomy #astro #Astrophotography #space #spaceweather #photography #photo #art #nature #WildAtlanticWay #August

Did I just monitor the echoes of a whole swarm of satellites?

Watching the echoes from the Graves radar to monitor for Perseid meteorites, I can occasionally see satellites as well. This happens when the reflections are strong enough. Sats are always easily discernible due to their much higher speed compared to airplanes.

Now I saw this this morning - an entire set of sat-like reflections, like a group of satellites close by and following the same trajectory.

Managed to spend an hour outside observing the #Perseid meteor shower tonight. I was rewarded with a fair few meteors, including 3 really nice bright ones - not quite fireballs, but bright enough to leave a visible trail behind them briefly.
