The #pear #tree is in eco mode this year (these are all the blossoms we got 😂), whereas the #Mirabelle #plum tree goes all out. 🎇
Oh, and our #jostaberry bush is in bloom too! I only got it in autumn from my parents' garden so I didn't know what to expect. For those of you who don't know this berry, it's a cross between gooseberry and black currant. In German we call it #Jochelbeere (that's the name I would use) or #Jostabeere (*Jo*hannisbeere + *Sta*chelbeere - the German names of the "parent" fruits). It tastes just like you would expect and the bushes are thornless

It's undeniably spring now that it's March and the warmth in the air. Today is Kengo's made-up birthday. His Gotcha Day means more because it's real, but still Happy Birthday my buddy. We'll be together for what's left for us.

For my tea ... pasta, with broccoli steamed over it. Onion, garlic and fried in sesame oil; add minced bird eye chili, sliced mushrooms, tomato, roughly chopped , a small chopped , some green peppercorns, a splash of soy sauce. Mix everything together, stir through smoked cheese and slices. Nom. Eat while watching vs . For pud ... chocolate and a pot of .
