This is my second try painting with oil pastels. I tried to not use them like colored pencils but more like acrylics. It's again based on a Monet painting I changed the color scheme to make it look more whimsical.

I very much like the drama the sky creates. You can still see some strokes in it but because it's oil pastel it also blended together to a thick layer. Pretty sure I'm trying using a nonwhite paper next though.

I treated myself to oil pastel sticks for my birthday! This is my first attempt working with them. It's a beachside in Brittany I hiked through two years ago.

I remember loving Brittany very much. You got the english channel in the north and the atlantic ocean in the south and they both feel completely different. This is the northern coast. The water is less turquoise but you get very exciting landscapes.
