There has been considerable interest in non-standard interactions (NSI) between neutrinos, and these can assist in production of sterile neutrino dark matter. In a paper with Cannon Vogel and Helena García Escudero, we find that vector-mediated NSI are excluded as a mechanism for sterile neutrino dark matter production, due to a combination of laboratory and structure formation constraints. Scalar mediated NSI and low reheating temperature models remain viable.

"After measuring the wobbles of 300 billion muons, the Muon g − 2 Collaboration has pinpointed with exquisite precision the internal magnetism of these subatomic particles. [...] In a somewhat surprising turn of events, the final results from the Muon g − 2 experiment line up with the most recent predictions, further validating the standard model of particle physics."

Physics · Muon Experiment Calls It a WrapThe final results from the Muon g − 2 experiment agree with the latest predictions of the muon’s magnetic properties—letting down hopes that the particle would upset the standard model’s applecart.
