CCochard<p>Thinking about open science practices in chemistry. </p><p>Let's assume you write an article describing a new synthesis method and you have adapted said method to other materials (e.g. replacing a metal by another metal). This does not warrant a new paper to me, but it would be useful to the community to share the information.</p><p>I am thinking that sharing data would be sufficient. Is updating the repository of the data after publication acceptable? Would you need to write a quick note to update the initial article or write a data paper?</p><p>Any other ideas?</p><p><a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/OpenScience" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>OpenScience</span></a> <a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/chemistry" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>chemistry</span></a> <a href="https://social.sciences.re/tags/AcademicChatter" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>AcademicChatter</span></a></p>
