My head’s throbbing this morning—not with pain, just that spacey, pre-caffeinated buzz, like the low thrum of electricity in the walls. Nothing to worry about. Just morning being its usual strange self. I did try to move my coffee cup with my mind, though. No luck. 
Remember those X-Ray glasses they used to advertise in comic books? I never had a pair, but I did once get some Sea Monkeys. Turned out they were just brine shrimp in a powdered egg packet, housed in a tiny plastic aquarium. I still remember the seconds of fun. It was marketing gold—right up there with the Pet Rock. Personally, I always thought Troll Dolls were the more practical investment.
