JEG<p>I can't help but sharing a little anecdote. This morning I gave a lecture on non-coding RNAs to undergraduate students, where I presented "the short story of a short RNA" - the discovery of the first micro-RNA - lin-4 in C. elegans. Right after finishing the lecture I learned this work was awarded the <a href="https://mstdn.science/tags/Nobel" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Nobel</span></a> prize. It's such a pleasant coincidence, specially because it's such a beautiful work.<br><a href="https://mstdn.science/tags/nobel2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>nobel2024</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.science/tags/microRNA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>microRNA</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.science/tags/Biology" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Biology</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.science/tags/Celegans" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Celegans</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.science/tags/NobelPRize2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NobelPRize2024</span></a><br><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://a.gup.pe/u/worms" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>worms</span></a></span></p>
