I'm so glad I saved my Python scripts from a SQL Server upgrade/migration we did about 2 years ago. They're proving REAL handy for an Azure migration I'm in the middle of. I had to spend a lot of time last Thursday making tweaks, but those worked and now I'm just watching my Python terminal automagically deploy almost 30 web services to Azure. #winning#gischat#NerdLife

I don't know about you all, but ever since I learned #SteveJobs once told his people to get rid of the F(unction) keys on Apple keyboards "because only nerds know what they do", I've been like, "Challenge ACCEPTED" and slowly been learning how to use them. So handy!
The ones I have memorized and use often: F2 - rename that dang file F11 - full screen on ye olde browser F12 - activate full nerd mode (developer console in the browser)

#NerdLife Wollte für meine Studies ein Handout erstellen, mit LaTex, erstmal neues Template gelernt (Tufte!), denn gemerkt, die Links sind zu lang, also einen eigenen Link-Shortener gebaut, eigene Zertifikatsverwaltung kaputt gemacht, alles wieder gerichtet. Hab um 9 angefangen. Jetzt schreib ich endlich das Handout.

Habe jetzt also nach einem Impulskauf nach diesem Toot einen angeblich gar nicht mal so schlechten Geigerzähler für 44,16€ hier liegen . Mit Open Source Firmware drauf. Ich habe absolut gar keine sinnvolle Verwendung dafür, aber Spaß gehabt es zu flashen. Andere richten sich 'ne Holzwerkstatt ein oder fahren Elektrische Eisenbahn, ich steh auf Messgeräte. Zumindest weiß ich jetzt dass ich das einzig Verstrahlte in dieser Wohnung bin.
