For some reason it doesn't get a lot of attention, but there seem to be both a lot of profiles (accounts) that won't allow themselves to be translated, and some entire instances that block translation entierly

I've had it with people posting in some other language and forbidding any translation

Why am I expected to give up my finite screen space to someone I will never be able to read?

I don't

I #Mute and #Block and #DomainBlock if it's the entire instance

New App - Muteem - Global shortcut to mute/unmute Microsoft Teams : r/macapps

Display the Teams call mute and camera status with a small icon in the menu bar. This way, no matter where you are on your Mac, you can always see whether you're on a call and if you're muted or if your camera is enabled.
Register global, customizable shortcuts that will control mute/unmute, camera and background blur during your calls directly in MS Teams. This synchronizes your mute status between the app and Teams, ensuring you never have to worry about your mute status. Additionally, other participants on the call will be able to see whether you're muted or not.

There is both a #Mute and a #Block, thus:

Mute user?

They won't know they've been muted.
They can still see your posts, but you won't see theirs.
You won't see posts that mention them.
They can mention and follow you, but you won't see them.

Block user?

They can see that they're blocked.
They can't see your posts and you won't see theirs.
You won't see posts that mention them.
They can't mention or follow you.

The effect of either on bots is another matter, as is the effect of hashtags on visibility, as is the instance you're on itself
