This picture was taken on one of those magical fall days that you just have no idea what is going to happen or where. I was on a trip driving south out of Oregon. An early winter storm enveloped Mt. Shasta.
Mt Shasta is one of many volcanic peaks in California and is at the southern end of the Cascade Range standing at 14, 179 feet. Today’s adventure painting is an actual plein air done at Mt. Shasta City Park, home of the headwaters of the Sacramento River! (Also home to many hippies lol.) Painted with GENUINE HEADWATERS WATER, that’s as Mt. Shasta as it GETS

There’s still plenty of snow on Shasta but the warm temps are taking a toll.
