Everyone has horror stories about moving from one home to another, and even our meticulously planned event has had some hiccups. Like the truck being 4.5 hours late when we moved out and getting our keys for the new house 8 hours after the deal closed. murderfoxwelp, all our stuff is in our new apartment, as of yesterday. last night, Xan and I tag-teamed setting up my desks in the corner of the officetoday I've hired someone to clean my apartment bc I have more money than energy (not that I have a lot of money, but, y'know ... even less energy), and when that's done, I'll turn in my keys and be officially outthen it's just a combo of sleeping a lot and unpacking. I AM hoping that this move will reset my sleep schedule ... Art H.Shopping around for a moving truck or pod is tiring. Nobody will give you a quote without surrendering your email address and phone number so they can send you continual "Let us help you with your move!" emails and texts. They always ask when I am moving. They want an exact date, and seem frustrated when I tell them that I don't know yet. I haven't exactly pinned that down at this time and am just gathering information right now. I hate this. I wish there was a web site like booking a flight, but for moving trucks. I want to see a list of trucks or pods that can get me from here to there, and I can compare and sort by different criteria. Wisely, for space practicality, they got all their boxes the same size, easy to carry. The wife numbered each box and each number had a corresponding detail of what was in it. Easy-peasy, right?
