Shotspotter is audio surveillance technology that claims to help the police find gunshots but has dubious value in actually improving safety.

#MApoli Clark + Warren failed to sign a letter condemning DOGE attacks on the NEH. After their staff members promised me with smiling faces that they wholeheartedly support humanities funding.

I'm used to this treatment when advocating for M4A, ceasefire, GND, etc. But not basic liberal shit like this.

Clark is consistently terrible on everything. Warren has a positive reputation but she doesn't wield power. Both consistently fail to deliver on basic promises.

Trump administration terminates NEA and IMLS grants to Mass MoCA, one of #NewEngland's greatest museums (you should visit if you can!).

The loss of these crucial funding awards for projects at MASS MoCA (pending appeals) is real and will throw us into greater financial strain. As painful as this is financially, what is more so is the diminishment of our revered national agencies and their staff after decades of service in elevating our national creativity, innovation and cultural contributions. These actions in combination with their rhetoric are unnerving, and are but one of many challenges at hand and to come.
