I have been working at #UCD in #Dublin pretty much as #R&D #engineer. My job was to #imagine, #design #manufacture, #assemble #program and #test a new high speed #microscopy #imaging device to be used with an #AI for #cancer #diagnosis.
I did everything alone, on my own besides the AI.
From designing the #circuit board, programming the #mcu, the #mechanics, #3dprinting parts, #cnc #milling parts, the #optical path. A fully finished and working device with case, display, everything.

Seems a clumsy guest broke it, and as we already had this gorgeous green resin in the machine we printed them a replacement in this colour. The shift to #renewable #energy and #electric #vehicles has caused a spike in demand for essential minerals, which favors this type of lending.
