I returned from an 8,436 km driving trip and boy, do I have a lot to say about the suitability of Apple and Google Maps.

I may get around to documenting that, but for an appetizer, even though I meticulously downloaded offline maps for Apple Maps, it often failed to use them and used cellular data instead costing me almost 2 GB of data. Since I pay a massive $30/GB with the Koodo telecartel, yeah, I got hosed. Thanks, Apple.

Bottom line:
1) get people who understand web security and user input to do your security work.
2) Test on all platforms before releasing.

If anything, this makes me more concerned about the security of my data at #Koodo than anything else.

That’s only a slightly better rate than the prepaid plan of $15/mon for unlimited text + $30/600 min + $30/GB I pay to Koodo, the “cheap” brand owned by the Canadian telecartel, Telus. 😏
