fibers.and.craftsLast weekend I finished a pair of socks that I casted on on New Year's Eve when I was in desperate need of spring back then and these colours scream spring to me. NaomiI am still not sure about the best way to cast on a cuff down knitted sock. I tried different cast ons but I am never really happy with it. Sometimes it is a bit tight, but neat, other times it is loose enough, but not so neat. And of course I want it to be perfect: easy to put on and great looking 😇What way do you prefer to cast on your cuff down knitted socks? I ditched the idea of making a heel called Strong and made my usual boomerang. Gard Witch CraftSo, this is really surprising to me, but today was a very productive day. I'm working on 4 projects: 1. Paul Scarf from the English tutorial on Ravelry. Oh my god, that's... unusual (more on that next time). 2. Started new socks because I want to try a new heel in a quick-knit yarn. I don't usually need a gusset, so I like the boomerang heel, but it doesn't look good with the striped yarn from the previous post. 3. Crochet squares according to plan: 4 left. Yesterday I hid the ends from the center, today I'm doing my first attempts at washing and blocking. 4. penpencilbrush🇨🇦It was a bit of a faff, but 2 sort of matching socks that fit successfully have been achieved. Figured out why the '48 rows' stuck in my brain - it's the number of rows for the leg. Sort of going on auto rather than completely lost my mind. Left photo is new and improved sock, or After.
