35 routes, representing 13% of the total 264 #RapidKL #bus routes in the #KlangValley, including the #MRT #feederbus routes, commenced operational resynchronization from 29 March
This is because #RapidBus is decommissioning 60 #Volvo SD #B7RLE model #buses that have surpassed their maximum operational lifespan and replacing them with 310 new diesel buses by the end of 2024
#KTMB had posted notice reminding #passengers that #KTMKomuter service in #KlangValley on 28 March 2024 will follow weekday timetable, NOT weekend timetable
28 March is public holiday for #NuzulAlQuran in #Selangor & #KualaLumpur where the #train service is operating, so there may be passengers who thought that weekend timetable would apply
However, the service goes all the way to #PulauSebang in #Melaka, and it's NOT a public holiday in both #NegeriSembilan & Melaka

The Transport Ministry is considering rolling out daily #expresstrain services between #Ipoh and #KualaLumpur, and not just during festive seasons

The Cabinet has approved a proposal to build a new #railway #station in #Seremban and #upgrade nine others in #Selangor under the Klang Valley Double Tracking project (#KVDT2)
The new Seremban station would be known as Seremban Sentral

#Prasarana Malaysia Bhd is committed to making improvements to its transport services to make #publictransport the preferred mode of travel in the #KlangValley.

Keretapi Tanah Melayu's (#KTM) Komuter service and Electric Train Service (#ETS) are experiencing disruptions of between 15 and 30 minutes from the original schedule on Wednesday (Nov 29).
This was due to a #train #derailment incident at the #KlangValley Double Tracking project engineering 1 (KVDT1) at KM387.755 between the Kuala Lumpur Station and KL Sentral Station at 4.05am
The upgrades on the automatic fare collection system for the #KTMKomuter network in #KlangValley are almost complete.
#creditcard & #debitcard payments will be supported by all 57 Komuter stations throughout Klang Valley starting from mid-November.
Once the system is open to public, #passenger can just tap their credit & debit card directly on the reader on the newly upgraded Automated Control Gate (ACG) to make their payment.

Those who have taken the train with #KTM will know that the frequency is anywhere between 15 and 30 minutes and if you miss a train, you’ll have to wait for quite some time.
Recently, a Malaysian radio DJ, JC decided to take the #train with KTM to avoid peak-hour traffic.
He was utterly disappointed when the train did not show up after more than 1 hour.

In recent years, #LRT has been experiencing many technical difficulties that have caused inconvenience to its users, and it’s undeniably nerve-wracking.
However, we also can’t deny that work is continuously being done for further improvements.
When we’re sound asleep, that’s when the humans of Prasarana, the team behind RapidKL get to work on #maintenance, and only at midnight.
An opposition MP wants the government’s assurance that its decision to revive the construction of five #LRT stations in the #KlangValley will not affect the progress of the #LRT3 project.
As of the third quarter of 2023, about 86.5% of the LRT3 project had been completed and it is expected to be completed by March 2025.
Last week, it was announced that five LRT stations in the Klang Valley that were cancelled in 2018 would be revived.
A mobile app on all bus routes in the Klang Valley will be launched later this year to provide a smoother and more efficient service.
The mobile app is currently in the data collection phase.
It is being jointly developed by Rapid Bus, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (which runs free GoKL buses) and the Selangor government (for its Smart Selangor buses).
Rapid KL is informing users of MRT feeder bus for MRT Kajang Line that some of the routes will have their frequencies improved from 25 September 2023 onwards.
Refer to the poster for more information on the routes involved (see reply for text summary of the timetable).
