I use #khard, #khal, #ikhal with #vdirsyncer to manage my addressbooks and calendars stored on my #cardav #caldav server. All is fine and very efficient. However, I'm looking for a todo manager for for my todo list. I know todoman but I would like a CLI tool with a TUI (think about curses or whatever, not only a command line to launch on each task you want to modifiy). If it uses vdirsyncer folder, it would be magic, but if it has an integrated caldav client, it's ok too. Any idea ?

Can't wait to flash it to my #c201 #chromebook. This will make it a cute little hyper portable laptop with my contacts (thanks to khard) and even the option of practicing some #CAD!

I finally have a workflow for getting my CardDAV contacts into #aerc. It's not pretty, but it works. I'd like to have used vdirsyncer for syncing up my Zoho vcard contacts, but it keeps bombing out on the import. So I had to give up on that.

Instead, whenever I have updates on the Zoho side that I want to get into aerc, I manually export from the web interface of Zoho my contacts. Then I run a Python script I wrote that will convert that file into a directory with vcf files that #khard likes working with. I have aerc configured to use khard to do the search and return results for aerc to display as I compose my email.

It's a pretty easy process even though it's not perfect.

I'm experimenting with using TUI apps for all of my communications. Set up #aerc for email and #khal and #khard for CalDAV/CardDAV. Next up is self-hosting #matrix and a bunch of bridges so messaging can join the party.

So, my #FLOSS todo list for the next days:
- get that #Recoll plugin for #Synapse working again
- write that script to make @qownnotes use @pandoc and @libreoffice to generate a PDF booklet
- make that #iBook G4 running again and set up an usable PIM suite using #vdirsyncer, #khal, #khard and #mutt.

If I'm somewhat recreated by that time I'm gonna restart coding on #ObjGTK. But after Christmas I'm really too exhausted to get into deep work too soon.

Today I managed to install and configure
- my contacts (vdirsyncer + khard, formerly khal)
- my calendar (calcurse + calcurse-caldav. Might switch to vdirsyncer)
- my mail (offlineimap + neomutt)
- my todo txt (todo.sh)

Not happy with saving credentials in plain text :-(

But I can look into Lua (conky and awesome WM widgets) next!

I've added #khal and #khard to my command line #mutt #email experiment. Once I wrapped my head around them, I was blown away with how well this system actually works.

I suppose it's now a full-blown #luddite pim project. :)
