Attended a “gishiki” today at my dojo - this is where new 1st dan black belts are awarded rank. There is a BB candidate program which lasts for several months beforehand where the black-belts-to-be are put through their paces - the gishiki is essentially a choreographed “show” where the skills are demonstrated to other BB’s (including me) and a decent sized audience of friends and family. Déjà quand on parle de passage de grade, je parle bien sûr de celui de la #FFKDA (Fédération Française de #karate et Disciplines Associées...). Il s'agit d'un examen qui nécessite lui-même 6 mois d'apprentissage juste pour comprendre comment ça marche.
On doit s'inscrire sur SIKADA (l'équivalent karaté de Parcoursup') puis passer un examen en X matières dont le contenu et l'attendu varie en fonction du niveau. (ouf, je suis pas encore trop gradé, donc je n'ai pas de mémoire à fournir...).

Off to Bunnings I go to flip snags in support of my karate club...
We’ve been demoing some #Karate and #Kobudo tonight. We were about 30. All went well. Funny that people went to us when the demo was finished saying: woaw you got children and grownups, guys and girls, beginners and black belts, not that often seen. Other diversity criteria are also either not said or not visible, but still present.
Yeah, we are somehow the BSD of martial arts 
What a sausage shemozzle. Went straight from karate to my son's old primary school to vote, and they were already out of snags. At 11:30am. Didn't even make it to the lunch rush!
So we went round the corner to the Anglican church just to have a sausage

Kennt jemand in Hamburg, Selbstverteidigungskurse, Judo, Karate .... in Hamburg mit/für Menschen mit ADHS/ASS wo auch auf dinge wie Kraft regulation/Motorische schwächen ... eingegangen wird.
Überlege was zu machen, ist aber schwierig da ich oft nicht meine Kraft einschätzen kann, und die Motorik da auch Probleme macht da würden normale Kurse nicht Funktionieren.

Today was one of those days where I just couldn't get motivated to sit in front of my computer for anything more than a teledoc visit with my nutritionist. Maybe tomorrow will be better, but I just didn't have the motivation to do much of anything at all today.
I did make it most of the way through The Pitt though, so that's something. And I did do #karate class tonight, so that's something else.
