JASP 0.19.2 out a week ago:
"This version adds 2 new modules Bayes Factor Functions and BFPack. The classical Meta-Analysis module is also reworked to include Funnel Plot, Effect Size calculation, etc… Computed columns and labels are improved, and many other features and fixes are added."
#statstab #238 Bridging null hypothesis testing and estimation
Thoughts: An overview of the ways you can claim "no effect" under a bayesian framework.

#statstab #232 Bayesian Interval-Null Testing
Thoughts: @JASPStats has a module for Equivalence Tests that include Bayesian Overlapping and Non-Overlapping Hypothesis Testing.

AAAAAAAAA.
Why is JASP on Mac 2.4 GB...
"Discovering Statistics Using…" by Andy Field is a book that a lot of people love since it helped them to understand how to do statistics.
Now, the book has been avaliable for SPSS (expensive!) and R (programming!) but soon we get an edition for JASP, a free program with an Excel-like interface.
#statstab #60 Justifying Bayesian Priors
Thoughts: This blog post was extremely useful when I started using @JASPStats and had no idea what priors were. Recommend it.

#statstab #42 Bayes Factors in #brms
Thoughts: Bayes Factors are just the ratio of the height difference of two points on two lines, don't @ me! (seriously, that's how most packages commute it)

#JASP 0.18.3 is out. Hotfix for the previous version.
Any #JASP users on 0.18.2 who could test a potential quick filtering problem?
This also is what #OpenScience should be - the tools.
One might assume that academia would understand the benefits and the crucial need for opensource tools.
Good to see these organisations supporting #JASP.
Something for #JASP users - release 0.18.0 had:
"Main new feature: Data Editing"
Not something I personally missed, but some users have expressed a rather significant desire for such a feature.
Something for the #statistics crowd - #JASP 0.17.3 was released a few days ago.
Among other improvements, it now allows factor analysis on ordinal data.
Minor improvement, moar usability.
Anybody here used #JASP @JASPStats before? I'm trying it out with some super basic data, but I'm having trouble getting the plots I want and my search skills are failing me.

Hi mastodonians! I've just discovered something that could be interesting to know if you use mediational models in #Jamovi or #JASP. Please be careful when interpreting the results.
