I am on the train from Frankfurt Oder to Przemyśl (Poland). There was a replacement bus from Berlin hauptbanhof to Frankfurt due to planned works. There was no border control. We are now on the tracks from Rzepin (Poland) to Zielona Góra and we are flying.

has received additional train services this summer.
Since early May, an additional #Intercity train pair has been operating between #Berlin and #Chemnitz running on weekends until mid-September. Unlike the existing IC services, this train pair runs non-stop between Berlin and Chemnitz. A Twindexx train set is used.

Some of these cars, having been rebuilt, now operate as mixed 2nd class seating, wheelchair-space, buffet-counter cars in #Frecciabianca #InterCity type services in Italy.

It’s essentially a freight line: 12-axle, 14,400 hp #IORE twin-section locomotives, hauling iron ore trains, are dominating the scene.
From #Narvik to #Luleå today, with the #SJ #InterCity #95. Really beautiful scenery up here, to be enjoyed through the opening windows of the train. Fresh air carriages have become a rather scarce commodity in most of Europe.

Pociąg z Chojnic wyjechał z 18 minutami opóźnienia, co nie było fajnie, bo planowo miałem 16 minut na przesiadkę. Na trasie zmniejszył opóźnienie do 2 minut, dzięki czemu mogę teraz dłużej czekać na opóźniony pociąg do Nakła.

Impressions from last night’s #Trenitalia #InterCity Notte ride to #Trieste in a “superior” sleeper cabin:
- an (almost hidden) closet behind the individual seat which folds away
- two more beds right below the roof (claustrophobics abstain). These places are not purchasable I think.
- as in all sleeper classes: breakfast and a morning newspaper.
