mgeriqueI find it very difficult to distinguish between Xylopa violacea and Xilopa valga. In my garden they nest several generations on the same old trunk for many years. This photo of a Xilopa bee on a september bush flower (Polygala myrtifolia) was taken in a garden in Valencia at the end of February.Me resulta muy difícil distinguir entre la Xylopa violacea y la Xilopa valga. En mi jardín anidan varias generaciones en el mismo viejo tronco desde hace muchos años. Esta foto, de una abeja Xilopa sobre una flor de lechera del cabo está tomada en un jardín de Valencia a finales de febrero.Ich finde es sehr schwierig, zwischen Xylopa violacea und Xilopa valga zu unterscheiden.
