I think perhaps they should have a culture beyond hunting - you know, flesh them out a bit.But the F&B episode is a good one, I think. It certainly has parallels with what happening today with so-called <a href="https://mas.to/tags/AI" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#AI</a>. The hologram algorithms encourage them to get better an better at fighting until they are too powerful for the Hirogen.It's a great idea.I like the doctor's part in this also; how he was duped ...

The crew had been repeatedly tortured and injured then Janeway was all: Let's settle this.It just conjured up the notion of an occupying force in a person's country - colonialism. But the episode was saying talking about it will solve the situation.I think there needed to be more to disarm the <a href="https://mas.to/tags/Hirogen" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Hirogen</a> before discussion could take place. And if giving them technology is the best decision (since Voyager is lost in space) it should be better emphasised.
