For a couple years I've had a hard time reading because I have a hard time concentrating and skip all over. Over the last six months I started using a ruler or piece of paper to keep the line while reading books which really helps. A week ago was frustrated and trying to read some documentation and the idea popped into my head to use a piece of paper on my laptop screen to do the same thing. I tried it for a few seconds but just got more frustrated 😅 I realized it could probably be handled by CSS though! So tonight I used an extension called Stylus to inject some CSS to highlight paragraphs has I hover over them.

I wish to begin this by saying that nothing can replace the wonderful consideration of people adding alt text to their images. It is very much appreciated, and I thank you for doing it. But for those images without said descriptions, I found something truly useful. It's called AltBot, and it adds alt text to posts without descriptions. I just followed it a few hours ago. On TweeseCake, at least, you'll hear something like "image with no description", and when you go to the next post, you'll hear the bot's explanation of the image. If you wish to folow Altbot, it can be found at altbot@fuzzies.wtf. I don't know who created it, but I sincerely thank whoever did. If only such a lovely bot could work on all sites.

I'm looking for sites positively impacted by #Google's #helpful #content updates/system and the integrated core updates ever since.

Stats show that more sites were winners than losers.

Yet everybody seems to focus on a small minority of those who complain - usually without even asking for help.

Share some positive examples with me beyond the obvious (Reddit and Quora).

I might include them and the lessons learned from them in an upcoming post I started writing.
