To all people shocked about the 90€ / $90 price tag of the new Mario Kart and similar rumours about GTA 6:

Video game prices have been stable for 40 years, while production costs have been skyrocketing ever since. It may sound harsh, but a price increase is long overdue.

See it this way: With a higher one-time payment, we can keep traditional video games alive and prevent the "Games as a service" cancer from devouring the industry.

@thehatfox Yeah. There are quite a few exclusives to jump in at the release date.

I guess we'll have to wait until Christmas to see if there are titles that are worth the console or not. Especially if #GTA6 decides to show on that platform.

May be at release date we will have peek at the real hardware and capabilities.

Was just thinking about GTA6 and the current circus in the US of A.

What if Rockstar is really struggling with the game, not because of development hell and such, but to get the game out without it and Rockstar being blocked and sanctioned. I really thing there are a lot of GTA style story pieces, jokes, sarcastic comments etc in the game a lot of DOGE and MAGA idiots would not like at all.

Would they be able to get this out nethertheless? Do they want to "fight"?
