"It was widely believed that a local landmark was created on #GoodFriday. The twin peaks of Mynydd Ysgyryd Fawr (The Skirrid).

Legend has it that at the moment of the crucifixion, there was a great earthquake near Abergavenny which caused part of the summit to collapse, giving it the staggered shape it has today.

This legend resulted in the mountain becoming an important place of medieval pilgrimage. Its English name. ‘Skirrid’ is an anglicisation of the Welsh word ‘Ysgyryd’ meaning ‘shake’."

Just got home from our #GoodFriday service. It went very well, all things considered. Mrs. Ref drew the Pilate script, and she did a great job; but when I got home she complained that she didn’t get to do a part on #PalmSunday.

I told her that’s what happens when you show up for service 3 minutes before we start.

I have a friend on another social networking site who has requested prayer. His wife of 18+ years has recently been diagnosed with dementia & it is breaking his heart. He says she has good days & bad days, but he feels like he's losing his beloved wife due to her memory loss.
