The psychedelic cover art of Mothra drew me in and while story and characters are a bit thin (who cares, monsters! Right?), I am not disappointed on the art side of things.
I want more non manga style comics to have graphic lettering like this page.

There’s an actual plot point in this book that a character has a dream about ducks, and then their school goes to Wollongong Uni open day, and sits on the duck pond lawn, and thus the character is convinced that their dream is being realised today.

Combine that with the action going down in the steelworks, and there’s a lot of niche references for Wollongong folk.

I loved this comic book *so* much!

Incredibly stylish artwork, with lots of little details packed into it. Definitely something to reread look for stuff.

The dialog is not just authentically Australian, but authentic for Wollongong / Port Kembla. (When a character says they got some food in at “cringe” on the way over, I’m like that’s Cringila!)

Oh, and it’s also a Godzilla comic!
