Daniele Verducci 🧉Is anyone using the <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.ichibi.eu/tag/cameractrl" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#cameractrl</a> overlay on <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.ichibi.eu/tag/postmarketos" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#postmarketos</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.ichibi.eu/tag/gnomemobile" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#gnomemobile</a> ? I'm trying to use it on my <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.ichibi.eu/tag/oneplus6" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#oneplus6</a> but I don't understand how is it supposed to work: in the screenshot on github (<a href="https://gitlab.com/NekoCWD/cameractrl" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://gitlab.com/NekoCWD/cameractrl</a>) I see it superimposed on the camera app screen, but if I launch the camera and then the overlay, I see the desktop background instead of the camera app...<br><br><a class="hashtag" href="https://social.ichibi.eu/tag/linuxonmobile" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#linuxonmobile</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.ichibi.eu/tag/camera" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#camera</a>

I had to manually del some postmarketos-ui-gnome-mobile packages and dependencies before I could add phosh.</p><p><a href="https://nerdculture.de/@fluchtkapsel/113867941791194707" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">nerdculture.de/@fluchtkapsel/1</span><span class="invisible">13867941791194707</span></a></p><p>While doing this I also did a postmarketos-release-upgrade. It's not really end user friendly at the moment but I consider pmOS still in development. After the reboot, I encountered a "Qualcomm Crashdump Mode" message for the first time in my life. A little disturbing, tbh, but after resetting the phone booted into tinydm+phosh as planned.</p><p>While GNOME Mobile isn't bad on a small screen, phosh is a little bit more optimized. I could imagine to give GNOME Mobile another try on my Mi Pad 5.</p>

Roland Lötscher<p>Let me share some progress on the &quot;Pushup Sessions&quot; app. I have put it onto my OnePlus 6 and started testing and making necessary adjustments. Most things work and the workouts and training plans are safely stored in a sqlite database. Notifications for sessions is not implemented and translations are not set up yet. There is (optional) sound though and the proximity sensor is used, so I don&#39;t have to touch the screen with the nose. Here&#39;s a demo:</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Oneplus6" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Oneplus6</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Pushup" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Pushup</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/GnomeMobile" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>GnomeMobile</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/LinuxMobile" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>LinuxMobile</span></a></p>
