This is my Ghostty config at the moment: https://gist.github.com/fastjack/ef5815ee655a0919ca942bb096ee0adc
It starts Nushell by default. I wish Ghostty had some kind of profiles so I could have profiles for other shells. Can't do everything in Nushell yet.
A little later than planned, but I'm finally live! We're working on fixing a bug in #Ghostty
I’m planning on fixing a bug in #Ghostty that’s breaking fish shell integration for some Mac’s on stream tonight - in about 6 hours or so.
Come watch on https://twitch.tv/kreykjalin if you’re interested!
I have to _blame_ @willmcgugan for rediscovering the power of the
His amazing work with #Rich and #Textual for got me to realize how much has happened since GUI and mouse took over the world.
This year it all begins to come together to form a good base with #ArchLinux #Ghostty
#Tmux and #Neovim
to really get going with.
Took me 20 minutes to migrate my Kitty configuration to Ghostty https://ghostty.org . I really like the globally available Terminal overlay that I can easily toggle, also the native MacOS secure input integration and the better splits management. Here are my dotfiles https://github.com/bruvduroiu/dotfiles
Ghostty Terminal Emulator On Arch Linux

There https://github.com/ghostty-org/ghostty/discussions/6740?sort=new#discussioncomment-12511707 - I now have a fully working set of default keybinds for #Ghostty on Ubuntu 24.04 with Swedish (Nordic) keyboard layout.
Was a fun way to also learn them all. Many, especially the splitting (#tmux) ones, will be mighty useful.
When I decided to go All-In on the a few weeks back, and try out #Ghostty - I wasn't expecting to find myself in the rabbit-hole of keyboard layouts: https://github.com/ghostty-org/ghostty/discussions/6740
And for sure I am surprised how much I enjoy learning about how challenging it can be for developers, about something I before thought should be easy.
For me a great lesson I'm sure will deliver lots of value for many other things to come, on my journey trying to code the idea I'm working on.
I love how #ghostty allows me to split the terminal however I want without relying on another tool like tmux, screen, zellij, or something similar.
Yesterday I learned that #ghostty, the terminal emulator supports custom shaders. So here is a little retro/crt shader: https://gist.github.com/lukad/d979a36ed9a83020bd6fa3fa0d5d7c89
#ghostty is kind of neat and all, but GPU-accelerated terminals work a lot better when the GPU isn't already 96% busy.
It just gets *laggy*.
I'm trying out this new terminal you guys may have heard of #ghostty! Shieet!! The fuck is going on with terminals. It took be 20 minutes to figure out how to change my keyboard shortcuts!
Thing looks good tho!!!
@deanfx Recently switched from iTerm2 to #Ghostty https://ghostty.org from @mitchellh and I've very pleased with how easy it is to use and configure
Got really far with #Neovim in #Ghostty
Over the weekend I also got #Python LSP working and I really like how it looks. Thus far I use default color schemes, only a nice #NerdFonts installed.
Task now is to figure out how to make it show the dependencies aren't installed for this project. That is the main thing, I know of now, that is not showing yet.
Going back to #vscode is only looking less likely - this is simply so much more enjoyable for me already
