#JAKARTA - The potential use of “#FishMilk” as an ingredient in Indonesian President-elect #PrabowoSubianto’s #FreeLunch programme has created a stir, with some questioning if the solution is truly healthy or simply hard to swallow.

Domestic fresh (cow) milk production is able to supply only around 22.7 per cent of what the country needs; the rest has to be imported.

I wish people would stop calling school proposals “free school lunch and breakfast.” Not because I think free is a bad idea, but because #1. it isn’t accurate and #2. the concept incites some people to vocal opposition. Saying: “The school district will include breakfast and lunch in their programming” would be better. While they are at it, they should include programming that expands the school day to 5:30 pm for families that would like to have the option.

Could not be more excited for the #VPPick from the #harriscampaign Gov. Tim Walz has a long history of bipartisanship and compromise. He's a well established governor, teacher and military man. He got #FreeLunch for school kids, protected #abortionrights and #reproductiverights and managed his state through covid. In my eyes an excellent pick. 🤩 #harrisvppick

When my kids were in public school our school provided breakfast and lunch for free for all elementary and middle school students. The only reason they had free breakfast and lunch was because it was a low income school district, but it helped out so many even those who didn't qualify as low income. Every school in the United States should have free breakfast and lunch. How can we expect hungry students to learn?

Every kid, every person, has a right to three squares a day.

This is it.

Part of living in an equitable society is that certain basic things should be available to everyone, without exception, as a human right. Food is one of those things, and it doesn't matter whether someone is rich or poor, they should be able to eat.

Also, not relevant, but if more wealthy people's kids took part in "socialist" services, maybe they wouldn't grow into such peckerheads.
