Looking to replace my #mechanicalKeyboard after nearly five years with a #Filco #Majestouch 2 with #CherryMX brown switches.

The keyboard is great, and while wear has made many keys blank and a liquid spill has made one key stick I probably don't really need to replace it completely.

But I'd like to change the switches to make typing easier on my fingers.

Will a switch with more resistance make me work harder, or reduce the impact on my fingers of bottoming out all day long? Advice please 🙏

Got my new Majestouch 3 keyboard home and started to use it. It's the same Cherry MX keys as my old Majestouch 2 "TKL" keyboard but it sounds and feels quite different. The slightly larger case possibly makes the sound different.

I'm very split of over the numeric keypad, the ergonomics of the TKL are better but the numeric keypad is useful...

Review will follow.

Old and new Dell Latitude laptops are very similar, but the new one has lost the classic inverted T cursor keys, has the stupid fingerprint reader where the Delete key should be, and the scratch pad is horrible. The nipple is missing as are Page-up/down.

I mostly use a proper mechanical keyboard and mouse, but when I have to use it as a laptop it's an ergonomic disaster.

Well, wonderful keyboard but, except for the price (that is anyway absolutely reasonable for such a keyboard), the weight is almost the same as the , so no gain. Unfortunately, because I liked that configuration very much!

I'm becoming a nerd.. Owned an IBM Model M for 25 years. A couple of keys became a bit unreliable, so I bought a 2 TKL with switches in 2019.
Now I'm planning to grab a ISO, but I'd like to understand, first, how to use and to program the keys in order to have Italian layout: there are no Italian accented letters in VIA/QMK UI.
Does anyone have VIA /QMK usage experience? Can someone explain me?
