Fear not, <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/Linuxmint" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Linuxmint</span></a> saves the day! It may be Windows-Like but I was going off <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/Gnome44" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Gnome44</span></a> anyway. It's Rock-Solid, fast, built-in <a href="https://mindly.social/tags/Flatpak" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Flatpak</span></a> and has no problem powering a large external display! I'm typing on it.<br>I think I know what happened, but I'm not ready to commit to it before I share.<br>At any rate, Got my browser back (and all my bookmarks, and open tabs!) up and running, some other things configured... I need to install some daemons yet, and get them configured, but, luckily, I can just pull the configs from the old drives (all the data is there!)<br>I did switch from <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Fedora36" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora36</span></a> back to <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/ubuntu" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ubuntu</span></a> mostly because I had that install media handy. Once I'm sure I've got all the data I want to keep off the old drives, I may set up a dual-boot to Fedora 37.. but right now I'm just concerned about salvaging my data from the previous install.<br><a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/WorkingOnIt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>WorkingOnIt</span></a></p>

Also, Hugin panorama sticher does not start at all. Worst <a href="https://det.social/tags/fedora" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fedora</span></a> update experience for me so far 😞</p>
Lorenzo Miniero<p>My <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/XFCE" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>XFCE</span></a> on <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Fedora36" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Fedora36</span></a> has started playing a super-annoying drip sound (it&#39;s actually called drip.ogg, I found it!) any time you hit backspace or stuff like that. I managed to disable it in terminal and Geany, but it&#39;s still there in other places (e.g., when you CTRL+F things in Firefox). Unfortunately XFCE doesn&#39;t have any setting for that: I suspect GTK is responsible here somehow. Is there any proper way to disable this without brutally nuking the sound from the file system? (which I&#39;ll do 😁 )</p>

Should I be worried of losing data when updating to 37 ? I&#39;m using <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Fedora36" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Fedora36</span></a> with a custom <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/opensuse" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>opensuse</span></a> type btrfs layout with Snapper (if that makes a difference)</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/opensource" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>opensource</span></a></p>

I tried out <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/antiX" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>antiX</span></a>-22 last night, whilst being perfectly happy with <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/Fedora36" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Fedora36</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/LXQt" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>LXQt</span></a></p><p>But only the touchscreen pointer worked, so I&#39;m probably not going to invest more time in that ✌️😂</p><p>But I&#39;m personally looking to get the best usage out of my hardware, so the less RAM &amp; CPU apps use, the better. Considering the have the features I want, naturally.</p>

Be warned. A temporary fix is to select an older kernel in <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/grub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>grub</span></a> on bootup.</p>
drakulix<p>I had a custom image setup to build, but for some reason upgrading that to <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Fedora36" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fedora36</span></a> broke multiple parts of that process.
