The funny name is apparently a Swedish term for "speed play". It's supposedly less formal than timed intervals. <br>As someone who runs in a city, we all do this naturally when you speed up to pass others on the path, or conversely, I downshift when the hardcore marathoners come up behind me. I sometimes will also gun it in my last length to the finish if I did a slower pace for the majority of the run.</p>
