I’m pretty happy with my success in dialing my printer ( #ender3pro ) back in for 28mm miniatures. This model is a test model from Smol Minatures - I wanted to validate I could handle the design before late pledging the Viking/Saxon/Frank project.

@zachleat @tmcw It’s much better, from what I can tell, with the newer machines. I’m still running my #ender3pro happily. Dialing it back in for printing 28mm tabletop minis because I don’t want to buy another printer. It’s a bit more work than, say, an a1. But the price is right!

More printer oddness. I can print a 20mm calibration cube at 0.2mm layer height just fine, but an actual print at 0.16mm layer height ends up squishing the print as the nozzle isn't quite high enough and starts dragging through the last layer. This screws up any tolerance for print-in-place hinges as the squished layers bridge the gap.
I'm at my wits end with this thing.

After months of looking, I finally found the missing Raspberry Pi 3B+ that I'd earmarked for my overdue Ender 3Pro upgrades. Fell on the floor amid some surplus computer speakers and blended right in. Found it when I decided to send the speakers to Goodwill. Now time for a lighting kit, BL Touch, camera, and Octoprint, so the Ender can be SLIGHTLY less obsolete.

Alright Fediverse, I need your help. The heated bed on my modded Ender 3 Pro is starting to die. I'd like to get a replacement and I keep seeing good prices on Ender 3 S1 beds. Can I use an S1 bed on my 3 Pro? It looks like it should fit, but I'm hoping that someone else has tried this and had success before I try this myself.

I got my #3DPrinter (#Ender3Pro) working and printed this game Balance from #Thingiverse. Fun for the whole family.

I also tuned the printer with this #Kenji (also from Thingiverse) robot figure. It is "print-in-place" but has joints on legs and feet. if the calibration is off the joints get stuck. So I printed it repeatedly, stopping and restarting when something didn't look right. It ended up almost perfect, could move as I removed it from the printbed.

Keep getting a clogged Bowden tube on the hot end side on my #ender3pro replace the Bowden tube. Made sure to loosen the nozzle while inserting the bowden tube and then tighten the nozzle to ensure a tight gap. I also used a tube cutter to ensure a flat cut.
Seems to be heat creep because when I remove the bowden tube it's definitely warm as well as clogged...
It is causing the extruder to click and under extrude
