How long do #ducks sit on their #eggs and #ducklings for?

A duck has laid two eggs in a planter next to my boat's gangplank. Every time I go outside it flies away. I'm concerned it will affect the wellbeing of the eggs and the ducklings.

I've tried feeding it frozen peas (swans like them), but I never get close.

Last night I lay worrying about the eggs getting cold. The duck returned this morning.

I'm thinking of doing a big shop and then not going out for the next month 😂

This explains why the US has an #egg shortage and other countries don't. It's about bird flu, and the size of egg-laying farms. When massive US farms are hit with flu, it means huge numbers of egg-laying chickens die - resulting in far fewer eggs.
Other countries tend to have much smaller chicken farms. So when one is hit with bird flu, it doesn't really impact the overall supply.
