#economic

It's come to my attention that #Trump has developed a new #economic #theory of his own:

#Capitulism *

#Definition:
1) When the most #influential #global #economy tries to gaslight the entire #world and make insane demands, and then later capitulates when no country gives in to those demands.
2) To maintain standard of living in your country by decreasing the standard of living in other countries.
3) When the #president Manipulates the #Stock #Market

* not to be confused with #capitalism

AdamSomething has taken a break from #civilengineering and decided to *checks notes* talk about #statecraft and #socioeconomics in the #US? Ah ghee whiz.

That a #European shows his autistic super power by just lining up one #political problem after another and mowing them down in the same breath gives me hope for the future.

But is #Europe really the #economic centre of the world in the future? I'm a bit more uncertain of that.

Why #Trump's #Tariffs Are Doomed To Fail

Thanks to #Trump, #Keynesian #economic #theory is reaching its end. But, it's not going back to #Austrian economics, despite being what Trump campaigned on.

His actions are purely Keynesian, with #government involving itself in the #economy and picking winners and losers, more now than ever before.

#Bretton #Woods is over. #US #Dollar #Hegemony is over.

What comes next is #cashless #society. #social #credit scores. Corporations having governing power. #slave #labor and #wealth #confiscation

#EarthDay 🌍 Lands different in 2025.
Once you begin to unpack the role that the #economy, and with that the #government, plays in shaping our realities, it’s hard not to unsee the #inequity by design in the system.

It’s not possible for everyone to live a good life on a planet with finite resources and an #economic structure that sends #wealth upwards.

Therefore, #capitalism attempts to obscure the harms it is causing.

From almost the moment Adolf #Hitler took…, #tariffs were at the top of his government’s #economic agenda. The agricultural sector’s demands for higher tariffs “must be met,” Hitler’s economic minister, Alfred Hugenberg, declared on Wednesday, February 1, 1933, just over 48 hours into Hitler’s chancellorship, “while at the same time preventing harm to industry.” Foreign Minister Konstantin von Neurath was concerned about lumber imports from Austria & a 200-million-reichsmark trade deal w/Russia.
