Ehm, what is going on in the #SPAM via #Email world right now. This is literally the first and also kinda ridiculous #phishing attempts I've seen so far.

Subject is "Gluckwunsch: Einverstandniserklarung fur Fundraising-Projekt und Spendenangebot" just in case you got the same.

It literally contains a wall of text and ends with a picture of the drivers license of some guy from New Jersey.

I am so old, I remember how in our (still existing) federated network of machines exchanging messages between users we had what you young folks call "defederating" since many, many years. But we called and call it DNSBL (Domain Name System blocklist) or RBL (Realtime BlockLists). Hello Spamhaus, old friend ;) #email #OldSysadmin

@irfan What do you mean by a 'non-Google' email address? Do you mean some other provider or is it with an own domain? If it's an own domain it's possible that the previous owner of that domain had done exactly what you are wanting to do now.

Well... I discovered that you could add a non #Google account as an alternate #email address to a Google account. I wanted to do that, but as I attempted to do that, I wasn't allowed to do so because apparently that (non-Google) email address of mine has already been associated to a different Google account. Idk anything about this, at all, and there doesn't seem to be a way to either 1) disassociate this email address of mine from wtv Google account that is, mine or not, and 2) find out what Google account is associated with my personal (non-Google) email. Fucking hell, Google.
