New blog post, as the title says, I use #Arch btw. Here are the general steps I took to do it, some troubleshooting and first impressions.
So far so good!

DWM is cool. What patches do people recommend?
I don't know why, and it's only when I use dwm (which is my main window manager), but every so often, if I run Tuba and Discord at the same time, they'll both freeze at the very same time and I have to run killall to close them. What makes this even more weird is that Discord will unfreeze itself if I happen to take too long to kill it.
This issue doesn't ever happen on XFCE (I have a full Slackware install with all the DEs and WMs, plus dwm which is my preference).
Strange.
Decided to set up an Arch Linux machine running DWM as a development environment to have a go at creating my own Discord bot — it's my first time doing this, but here’s a screenshot of the finished setup!

What can you do nowadays with a single core and 512mb of RAM computer?
I'm about to find out...
I'll be running #slackware 15 with #dwm or maybe #jwm, and I'll be testing a bunch of stuff to see what works and what makes the computer fans turn it into a drone.
@peppe Well, #dwm is a window manager. Then there's #dwl, which is a #wayland #compositor, trying to do "functionally the same" as dwm. My point is, it has to implement a lot more stuff to do so.
My favorite window manager is #fvwm (or now #fvwm3), and as far as I know, its main developer was looking into wayland and currently doesn't have any concrete plans to work on that ... and I can perfectly understand.
because #gimp 3.0 looks hideous with the (absolutely outdated) GTK theme I'm using, I wanted to change the system theme...
the issue is, I'm in #DWM on #ArchLinux, and I use the #XFCE bar, so I have the XFCE settings app installed, but the icon theme and gtk theme can not be changed from there.
luckily, I have #Cinnamon also installed, so I can log in there, use the settings app there, and that works.
why though?! #JustLinuxThings
Pour one out for my level 60 Baramos in Dragon Warrior Monsters 2. While transferring him between games, the Everdrive failed to reboot/save properly and he was lost forever. Guess I'll rage quit for a year now.
Recently switched from #dwm to #fvwm3 mostly out of just wanting to tinker/change the look/feel of my desktop. Not 100% sure I'm gonna stick with it and open to other options. What cool #WindowManagers are #x11 #linux folks using these days?

#dwm user located ;)
Como es #ViernesDeEscritorio, pero yo sigo con mi mismo #dwm, en vez de una imagen, os pongo un video, para ser algo más original. #archlinux
Oh, and I dabbled a bit with #DWM. Thanks to @justaguylinux (Drew) making a fabulous script for a nice customized and easy install. The only thing I have done so far is changed the wallpaper. Drew sure made a pretty DWM setup.
I finally updated my readme at Codeberg from my Suckless repo.
