Such a drag that the Accordion Club seems really truly dead this time, at least judging from the “There is equipment the property of Auto-Chlor in this establishment” stickers on the door.

It’s still a thing this neighborhood very much needs, and you’d have thought that it would be possible to successfully navigate the tension between catering to the locals but still making some money off of the newcomers.

LOTTA people in downtown #DurhamNC for the protest today. Probably top-5, size-wise, in the 17 years I’ve lived here.

I doubt this particular group is gonna block the Durham Freeway, though. They all looked pretty “reasonable.”

Where in Durham can I find a selection of whole leaf tea? I'm particularly looking for an Assam. I can find CTC at an Indian grocery store, but I want whole leaf. I'm looking for something like, e.g., Grace Rare or Twinings. I used to see cans of Twinings in some grocery stores, but I haven't lately. If someone knows of a regular grocery store with the above, that's fine? I don't want mail order. I may also need to go back to a different (say) Indian market. #tea #local #DurhamNC
