There were charges in "less than a quarter" of those, so "only" 1 in 10 rioters had a record of being charged with DA. Looking for explanations…<p>There was a lot of fanfare about this book when it came out in 2019. I saw Jess on TV several times (mostly on that excellent show, The Drum) &amp; meant to read it. Then Covid came along, &amp; The Trump Show Pt1, and I didn’t need to read something about yet another upsetting subject. </p><p>Finally doing it now. I’m only a few pages in, and in spite of being an ardent feminist with a major in Feminist studies, I’ve already learned something. </p><p>Something I did know, is that most domestic abuse isn’t violent. Violence only happens when the abuse is out of control. The description in this article is exactly what our daughter's ex-husband did to her.

We were too blind to understand what was going on, although we knew something 'wasnt right'.
This led to the spiral of depression, compulsive behaviour, suicide attempts and despair that she is now recovering from - bundled together as PTSD.

He still tries, almost 10 years on - as the article says - to isolate Kasa from family members by controlling their daughters and preventing / severely limiting her access them.

Yes, coersive behaviour is a criminal offence, but how is it proven sufficiently for a prosecution because 'He says - She says' means there's insufficient proof.
