I have lost more time than I care to admit today because I apparently saved a chapter of my serial story as a global post template in Divi (Wordpress) and didn't understand why that text kept showing up no matter what I put in the post as I was drafting it. (Attempting to update several chapters of my serial story) I have no idea how I did that, but wow, that was a wild rabbit hole.

Using The WordPress Block Editor For A Site Build… My Thoughts So Far

I’m creating a WordPress site for a client using the Block Editor, not a page builder. I can’t believe I’m brave enough. LOL

It’s been eye-opening for a few different reasons:

1. It’s a whole new learning curve to figure out where to adjust things.

2. The design system differs from builders like Elementor and Divi, though it’s decent.

3. Not using a page builder has made the site load much faster, which is a plus.

The site is almost ready to go live. I’ll share it when it does and discuss my experience with the WordPress block editor more.

Lincolnshire Co-op are following the decision made by Co-op Group a while ago to replace a genuine dividend payment (a profit distribution agreed by members at the end of a defined trading period) with an instant cashback scheme. Ca valait pas #Elementor ou #Divi, mais ça faisait le job en couplant avec l'éditeur de thème intégré.
Maintenant qu'ils ont fait une version pro, la version gratuite est pourrie de pub, lente, inutilisable. Merdifié au possible. Va falloir trouver une autre option :(

@emaechler I know the ticket, because I also follow Slack and have read the whole ticket again, but I only see that code was added based on a assumption that it would be default behavior in the first place. So that points in unforeseen side effects that were not discovered during testing.

So one of the lessons would be that more people, including big theme authors like ET for #Divi, should test new #WordPress versions before they are released and not after.
